Why we're called Pletinus
Centuries ago, before maps or compasses existed, traders crossed oceans and deserts guided by a single constant in the night sky the North Star. It never moved, never dimmed, never changed direction. Sailors trusted it with their ships; camel caravans trusted it with their lives. As long as that star was visible, the way home was never lost.
The earth held its own version of that same trust: platinum. Unlike gold, which the world already prized, platinum never tarnishes, never corrodes, and never loses its integrity no matter how much time or pressure it's put under. It became the standard against which purity itself is measured.
Two enduring symbols one in the sky, one in the earth carrying the same idea: direction that never wavers, and purity that never compromises.
Pletinus comes from Plenus, the Latin word for abundance and fullness, joined with Platinum, the mark of purity and trust. Together, they became our name and our promise: to deliver in abundance, without ever compromising on purity.
Our logo carries the same story a star, held within an orbit. Every shipment is a journey that begins at that star and returns to it, the same way it always has.
